Tanner Richie

Tanner Richie is a Wisconsin-born co-founder of the New York based brand Tanner Fletcher. With a background in interior design, Tanner has always been interested in how dwellings and belongings connect to tell stories. Clothes, like rooms, can hold memory, humor, and feeling. That’s the idea at the center of the brand.

Tanner met Fletcher at the University of Minnesota, where the two quickly bonded over vintage references, shared taste, and the belief that style should feel personal rather than prescribed. They became a couple, moved to New York City, and started Tanner Fletcher while finishing up school. They built the brand instinctively rather than strategically. The goal was simple, make clothes they wanted to wear and tell a story they didn’t see in the world.

Today, Tanner Fletcher brings together daily ready-to-wear, formal dressing, and weddings, all with a sense of character and ease. Tanner is drawn to pieces that feel special but never conceptual. Clothes that can be worn often, styled freely, and passed through different moments of life. For Tanner, fashion is about creating a world people want to step into, one that feels warm, nostalgic, and familiar but unexpected.
