Shelly Steffee is an accomplished designer who, over the course of her career, has maintained a reputation for innovative design as well as exceptional craftsmanship and fit. She possesses a strong and consistent aesthetic and has been designing beautiful, forward-thinking, intelligent collections for over 20 years, 11 of which were devoted to designing and producing her own eponymous brand.

As a pioneer of the Meatpacking District in 2001, the SHELLY STEFFEE store existed as a signature atelier, a design lab, a cultural salon, and an experiential retail space. For a decade, the destination flagship store focused on creative collaborations, gallery exhibitions, and store events attracting a loyal following and offering its clientele a sensory experience.

Currently, through SHELLY STEFFEE STUDIO, Steffee collaborates and consults with leading activewear brands, multi-brand retail stores, pop-up shops, and private clients. She has a passion for vintage jewelry and collects and curates for exclusive events and industry clientele. Steffee believes in mentoring young and emerging talent. She is active as a critic and a guest lecturer for Parsons School of Design and Drexel University.

With an eye towards the modern and a talent for mixing the conceptual with the utilitarian, Steffee has always expressed tremendous individuality as a designer garnering appreciation and praise from customers, clients, and editors.
