Regina Kravitz

Regina Kravitz is the essence of the modern American woman: a dynamic blend of ambition, intelligence and savvy “know –how”. The ease and figure-flattering design of her clothing reflects the fast-paced, multi-faceted lifestyle she shares with the majority of today’s women. Regina knows her customer is an informed buyer and wants a wardrobe that will make her feel confident, look great and have the current fashion message: all at an affordable price! Regina believes in classic design with humorous twists and special details which have made her clothing wardrobe staples and enduring favorites. After a hiatus from the rigors of the fashion industry, Regina is relaunching her iconic soft and sexy silhouettes in a “REGINA KRAVITZ” line for spring 2013.

Regina grew up in a clothing family. Both grandfathers were old school tailors and she learned proportion and style, from her mother, a former model, who designed all of her own clothes, as well as her young daughter’s. She started her own business in 1979 with an initial investment of $8000 and grew it into a multi-million dollar dress business which she later sold to a public concern. She cites tenacity and common sense as her strongest assets. She is credited with developing key trends in the contemporary dress market; such as soft rayon fabrics, day into dinner dresses and notably the jumpsuit and slip dress; which she in re-interpreting for today’s customer. Her target customer is a 25-50 year old with a body conscious, modern attitude. All knits, Regina is also designing the fabrics from the looms up in a vertical partnership with a 50 year old family mill. All fabrics and production will be made in the US and are green and sustainable.

Though casual in approach, these soft knits are anything but basic… packed with feminine draped details and great fit; they can be worn effortlessly during the day and extend to night time occasions. Regina believes women today, with so many style choices and a great accessory wardrobe of their own, want something of a favorite uniform with a wide range of wardrobe applications…and easily packable in their carry-on.
