Rebecca Moses

Rebecca Moses is known for her creative approach to style and comfort, her welcoming vision of life and powerful use of color. A native of New Jersey and schooled in NYC, Rebecca Moses has been at the forefront of style throughout her life.

As one of the first American designers to enter the European market when she moved to Italy on 1992, she played an important role in bringing down the boundaries of fashion and lifestyle and quickly captivated the European landscape with her brilliantly sophisticated style, playful use of color and unique perspective.

As the Creative Director Designer of Italian luxury brands Gruppo Genny and later Pineider, she created business concepts that would reposition them in the global market.

She founded her own eponymous luxury house in 1996, reinventing the world of cashmere with explosive color, smart and sensual styling and seasonless yarn weights that soon became the staple of chic women around the world.

In less than one week, the designer opened up more than 100 accounts with the chicest stores in the world, including Harvey Nichols and Browns in London; Joyce in Hong Kong; Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Janet Brown and Maxfield’s in the United States; Pupi Solari and Marisa in Milan; Eichoff’s and Theresa in Germany; Victoire in Paris; and, Barneys New York in Japan.

Rebecca’s growing presence in the fashion illustration world is evident through her exciting collaborations with Franca Sozzani at Italian Vogue and Sozzani’s blog as well as Vogue Japan and Icon in xxxx. In addition to her editorial work, she designed a series of illustrated chairs for Italian furniture giant Kartell; collaborated with shoe manufacturer Fratelli Rosetti on the creation of an animated video and in-store installation. The publication of her recent book “A Life of Style,” by The Monacelli Press and her second book coming in 2013 further highlights her importance as a style force and extraordinary talent as an artist.

Rebecca lives between New York City and the Piedmont region of Italy with her two sons and their dog George.
