Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren, whose name is synonymous with American lifestyle, timeless design, and impeccable quality, has built the Ralph Lauren Corporation over 49 years into one of the most successful companies in the world.  As the first designer to produce a complete lifestyle vision, he created a global brand which is currently a leader in the distribution of premium products in four categories: apparel, home, accessories and fragrances.

Ralph Lauren is the only designer to receive all of the CFDA’s highest honors – Lifetime Achievement, Womenswear Designer of the Year, Menswear Designer of the Year, Retailer of the Year.  He has also received CFDA’s Humanitarian Leadership Award, the first American Fashion Legend Award, as well as the inaugural CFDA Popular Vote Award.

Largely recognized for his commitment to philanthropy, Lauren co-founded the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research in 1989 and led the fashion industry in its support of breast cancer research with the CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer in 1994.

In 2001, he established the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation to support programs for education and volunteerism, and the Pink Pony Fund, which aims to reduce disparities in cancer care. In 2003, he established the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care in Harlem, and in 2014, the Company founded The Ralph Lauren Centre for Breast Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden hospital in London.

The Ralph Lauren Corporation has been acknowledged for groundbreaking initiatives in sports marketing, digital and mobile technology, as well as signature cinematic advertising campaigns and retail concepts.
