Pamela Dennis

Pamela Dennis. The name brings to mind confident, A-list actresses, such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and Kate Hudson, gliding down red carpets, in custom couture gowns made of classic materials, with a modern style.

Thirty years ago, Ms. Dennis found her calling for creating luxury gowns, when she made her own evening gown to wear at a friend’s wedding. The positive reaction sparked Pamela’s passion for designing. The evolution into a premiere fashion designer followed, and she became known for red carpet couture and embellished cashmere sweater sets.

Carried in premiere stores from Bergdorf Goodman to Harrod’s, Pamela Dennis’ creations serve to enhance the confidence and beauty of the women who wear them. Her bespoke evening gowns attract a long list of famous names, socialites, and discerning fashionistas, including the late Princess Diana, raising Pamela to the level of uber designer.

Like every success story, there have been challenges along the way. Pamela rose to meet those challenges, expanding her brand outside of brick and mortar stores. Her red carpet fashion won the attention of the next generation of fashion lovers, when Blake Lively’s Gossip Girl character, Serena, wore a Pamela Dennis gold evening gown.

Pamela continued to broaden her clientele, through her partnership with QVC, bringing glamor to daily life. In November-December 2014, she was part of the unique Glade pop-up store in New York, which offered “gifting feelings through scent.” Visitors to the store participate in a personal high fashion photo shoot by stepping into a one-of-a-kind gown created by celebrity fashion designer Pamela Dennis. The flowing pink evening gown, which created a dreamlike moment with flowers created a bucket list experience, and offered the “flirty” experience for all who entered.

It is Pamela’s expansion into alternative markets that has inspired Pamela’s upcoming line. Ms. Dennis’ signature work has evolved throughout her thirty years of collections.

The key to Pamela’s success has been her sparkling personality, as well as her artistry. An effervescent spirit, Pamela’s passion shines through every detail of her work, be it bespoke fashion or a main stream manufactured line. She possesses a charm that is present in her work, making her pieces a joy to watch move and wear.
