Nellie Partow

NELLIE PARTOW’s effortless and alluring approach to refined minimalist ready-to-wear garners devotees of eminent women worldwide. Its aesthetics attribute to Nellie Partow’s strong-spirited and cultural upbringing. Influenced by her mother’s assured sense of self and cultivated sense of style, Partow exudes all sides of femininity. From strength to sensuality, those two characteristics define her life both as a competitive, champion boxer and fashion designer.

Partow enrolled at San Francisco State University graduating with a degree in business, giving her the foundation needed to operate her own business. She then moved to New York City, where she obtained a degree in fashion design from Parsons School of Design. While at Parsons, she accepted an opportunity to work alongside senior designers at Donna Karan, where she was exposed to the inner workings of the industry at the highest level of quality, design and craftsmanship.

Upon graduating from Parsons, Partow landed her first position at Calvin Klein, assuming the role of women’s knits and wovens designer. It was there that she was able to hone her own design sensibilities—one that is centered on clean, architectural lines. Having always been drawn to the traditional components of tailoring and the strength in men’s silhouettes, she accepted an opportunity with John Varvatos.
With nearly 10 years of design experience under her belt, Partow decided to develop her own label and fill a niche in the market. She launched her namesake luxury collection in Fall 2011, and has since built a reputation for impeccable finishing, innovative fabrics, and distinctive design aesthetic.

Partow was invited to give a TED Talk in 2014, and was a finalist in the 2016 International Woolmark Prize (USA).

Nellie Partow has been a CFDA Member since 2015.
