Michael Ward

New York native Michael Ward graduated from Parsons School of Design and has spent his career at the helm of fashion brands Carmelo Pomodoro, Burberry, Anne Klein, Episode, Rachel Zoe and Diane von Furstenberg. He has also served as a junior critic with Parsons School of Design for over 12 years.

In addition, he has worked as a fashion illustrator for clients such as Oroton, Australia, Cole Haan, Hugo Boss and Raf Simons.

In 2018, Ward launched thesalting LLC, a unisex brand with focus on quiet luxury made in America. The brand is now carried in over 30 stores across the U.S. including The Conservatory and Bergdorf Goodman. In addition, thesalting LLC is experiencing growth in robust trunk show sales throughout the U.S. and its own website thesalting.com with such clients as  Oprah Winfrey and Nick Wooster. With great pride, thesalting LLC has made charitable contributions to The Matthew Shepard Foundation, NAACP/LDF and Glam 4 Good.

Ward’s husband, Manel Garcia Espejo, has joined thesalting LLC in 2021. They spend their time between NYC and Bellport, New York.
