Mary Ann Restivo

Mary Ann Restivo is President and Designer of a luxurious new accessories line sold nationally at fine boutiques and select stores. Her elegant silk flowers, her flirty feather boas and her fantastically pleated shawls have already attracted sophisticated clients like Debra Messing, Candice Bergen, Star Jones, Linda Dano, and Broadway’s Linda Hart.

Fashion is in Ms. Restivo’s DNA. Ms. Restivo’s father worked as a fashion designer and her mother is a naturally elegant woman whose style was influenced by the movie stars of the 1930’s. As a child, Mary Ann sketched original designs for her dolls. After graduation from F.I.T. with a degree in fashion design, Ms. Restivo quickly built a reputation as a creative designer of contemporary sportswear. In 1980, when she opened her own business, her goal was to design real clothes for real women. In just a few short years, this goal became a reality and her business became a major national success story. It was ultimately purchased by a major Seventh Avenue firm.

In 2002, Ms. Restivo decided to come back into the market in a slightly different arena, focusing on designer accessories for the woman who wants to be elegant and also have some fun.

Ms. Restivo has received numerous awards and honors. Among them are: a Doctor of Humanities degree from the College of St. Elizabeth; the Mortimer C. Ritter Award from the Fashion Institute of Technology; and the 1993 Ellis Island Medal of Honor. She is a longstanding member of the Board of the Foundation of the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is also an advisor and Designer Critic at Parsons School of Design.
