Luca Orlandi

Born in Milan, Luca Orlandi worked from an early age in his family textile business, which for generations has been a leader in fine yarns, fabrics, textile machinery and fibers. He received his BA in 1987 from Bocconi University and moved to New York immediately after to complete the masters degree program at Columbia University School of Business. He then began his apprenticeship on Seventh Avenue with the Hero Group, a licensee manufacturing company, then producing bridge lines for Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass and Oleg Cassini. Orlandi founded the company of LUCA LUCA in 1991. LUCA LUCA is a women’s ready-to-wear collection designed by Orlandi and distributed through its own boutiques in the United States. In 1997, the collection began selling through specialty boutiques throughout the country and abroad.
