Heidi Weisel

Known for the understated glamour and simple elegance of her designs native New Yorker Heidi Weisel debuted her collection with six black evening pieces. Her designs immediately captivated prestigious retailers, customers, and the press.

Inspired by luxurious fabrics Weisel began experimenting with knitted cashmere discovering ways to incorporate it into her designs. Creating eveningwear with the ease and comfort of sportswear, Weisel combined the versatility of cashmere with the luxury of silk satin and chiffon, thus launching her signature look – modern evening gowns with an unexpected mix of fabrics. Beautiful cashmere and knits have since become the mainstay of the collection and a special love and passion of Heidi’s.

Heidi Weisel’s designs have received extensive editorial coverage and have appeared in numerous feature films and media. Often gracing the red carpet Weisel’s clientele includes Brooke Shields, whose wedding gown was designed by Heidi, Oprah Winfrey, Catherine Zeta Jones, Elizabeth Hurley, Lisa Kudrow, Faith Hill, Debra Messing, and many more. Weisel has also appeared on The Morning Show, Extra, CNN, and E! and has been profiled in fashion and lifestyle publications such as Women’s Wear Daily, InStyle, Travel and Leisure, House Beautiful and many others.

A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Weisel’s designs have been on exhibit at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and have been selected to be a part of their permanent collection. Heidi also won the celebrated Gold Coast Fashion Award for “Excellence in Design” in 2000 and is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
