Eileen Fisher

Eileen Fisher’s goal is to live simply. That includes getting dressed! “I only want to wear clothing – and make clothing – that works with all the dimensions of my life,” says Eileen.

“I want to do yoga, go to work and go out for an evening in the same clothes – change a single piece instead of changing my outfit three times,” she explains. “In clothing that embodies who we are, we feel like we can do anything – stretch at a desk, run a meeting, or have a vision – and realize it!”

Eileen was born and raised in Des Plaines, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign. She moved to New York In 1973, working first as an interior designer and then as a graphic artist until 1983. She founded her company in 1984 with clothing that filled a void in the market.
