In 2014, Thompson’s resolute spirit drew him to the heart of Brooklyn, where he immersed himself in the city’s dynamic tapestry. Harnessing an innate entrepreneurial flair, he sowed the seeds of his vision in 2016, giving birth to his brainchild, Theophilio. The name, a nod to his middle name “Theophilus” meaning “to be loved by God,” encapsulated his belief in the profound connection between love and creative expression. Every meticulous stitch, every chosen fabric, bore witness to Thompson’s dedication, infused with the love he carried from his Jamaican heritage and the diverse blend of cultures that Brooklyn offered. 
Thompson’s journey into design was one of self-guided discovery, a self-taught odyssey that exemplified tenacity. His hands-on approach to learning and an insatiable thirst for knowledge shaped his trajectory, underscoring the depth of his commitment to his craft. With each collection he curates, he ventures to disrupt conventions, intertwining cultural narratives into tangible pieces of authenticity.
