Bradley Bayou

Bradley Bayou has gained widespread recognition for his many contributions to the fashion industry. As a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America he has received numerous industry honors, including “Mercedes-Benz Presents” Designer for Los Angeles Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios. While the BRADLEY BAYOU couture label is a favorite among celebrities, he also has a ready-to-wear namesake collection at Q.V.C. where he has successfully translated couture quality and the fundamentals of his book “The Science of Sexy” into an affordable clothing line. His fashion designs have cemented a place in the industry for him as a man with the ability to make everyone look fantastic no matter what their size or shape.

Bradley’s fashion pieces have graced the covers and pages of many magazines and periodicals including “Vogue,” “Harper’s Bazaar,” “Essence,” “Cosmopolitan,” “People,” “Town and Country,” “Entertainment Weekly,” and “In Style.” He is a member of Oprah’s “Glam Squad” and has been a contributor on www.oprah.com as well as a proud ambassador for NEDA, National Eating Disorder Association, where he champions a campaign to promote healthy body images in the media and fashion industry.

Bayou has been a featured designer and guest on such television programs as “The Today Show,” “The Tyra Banks Show,” “Good Morning America,” “Wendy Williams,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Extra,” and “Access Hollywood.” He has also been a semi-regular guest on “The View” and “The Early Show” on CBS as well as the Executive Producer and Host for Lifetime’s show “Operation Style.”

While he was the Creative Director for Halston, Bayou revived the label to its original stature as a world-renowned brand. However, he is most known for his couture designs worn by many celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Kim Kardashian, Halle Berry, Taraji Henson, Kristin Davis, Queen Latifah, Eva Longoria, Megan Fox, Selma Hayek, and Beyonce Knowles.

Bayou originally entered the business world as a real estate developer where he combined his entrepreneurial ability and love of architecture. He was known for his collaborations with renowned architectural firms such as Richard Meier, O’Neal Ford, Angelo Donghia and Architectonica. Bradley has recently delved back into this world, with Bradley Bayou Home, and is currently busy with both residential and commercial projects in Los Angeles and New York.

A Texas native, Bayou graduated from Phillips Andover Academy as well as the University of Texas and has subsequently earned an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Pursuing his life-long passion of fine art, he has also studied at the prestigious Skowenhgan and Corcoran schools of painting and sculpture. His art work has been featured in galleries all over the country.
