Becca McCharen-Tran

Becca McCharen-Tran is the founder and creative director of the architectural bodywear line CHROMAT.

Raised in Lynchburg, VA, the UVA School of Architecture graduate fuses a technical background in architecture with a focus on the body as site to create structural swim, lingerie and athleticwear pieces for boundary-breaking women like Beyonce, Madonna, and Nicki Minaj. A Forbes 30 under 30 pick for “People Who Are Reinventing the World”, McCharen-Tran is focused on bridging the worlds of technology and fashion through collaborations with engineers, artists and scientists.

Each Chromat collection explores the intersection of architecture, fashion and technology, producing garments that augment and enhance the body’s performance through innovative, responsive design and cutting-edge technical fabrics.

Chromat is focused on empowering women of all shapes and sizes through perfectly fit garments for every body.
