Andrew Fezza

After graduating from the pre-dental program at Boston College and traveling across Europe, Andrew Fezza realized his true calling and enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology. After one year at FIT, Fezza began his design career working on Seventh Avenue as a design assistant, learning the trade as he went. He decided to design his own clothing and gained immediate attention for wearing his own unique designs. This prompted him to show his designs to men’s fashion editors, and he quickly received editorial features in top fashion publications such as GQ and Esquire magazines. Retail orders from Barney’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman soon followed, leading to the formation of Andrew Fezza Ltd. in 1979.

Within just a few years, Fezza had become instrumental in the formation of the Designer’s Collective and had earned a number of awards – a Chrysler/Cartier Stargazer Award in 1979, the Coty American Fashion Critics Award in 1980, the Council of Fashion Designers Award for Menswear in 1981, and three Cutty Sark Awards between 1980-1984. The business grew rapidly through licensing and joint ventures with apparel firms such as Levi-Strauss and Gruppo GFT.

In the spring of 2012, Andrew Fezza Ltd. partnered with Peerless Clothing International to strategically position the brand in sportswear and tailored clothing as a full lifestyle designer collection at affordable price points. The signature Andrew Fezza label remains synonymous with wearable clothing that melds classic American tailoring with artful European design. The recently launched FEZ by Andrew Fezza label is a complementary collection aimed at fashion-conscious young men looking for a mix of innovative design and classic tailoring. Both collections are directional in fabric and fit and offer a distinctive take on modern design.
