Target

Proud Partner of the CFDA

Since 1998, Target has supported the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to provide financial support and post-graduate programming through various initiatives including the {FASHION INCUBATOR}, of which Target became lead underwriter in 2012. The {FASHION INCUBATOR} is a business development program that fosters fashion talent and helps emerging designers reach their full potential by offering affordable studio space, business mentoring, educational seminars and networking opportunities. Other partnership initiatives between Target and the CFDA include the CFDA/Target Design Scholarship, which provided designers with paid, post-graduate apprenticeships at Target headquarters in Minneapolis, the CFDA/Teen Vogue Scholarship, through which Target provides the “Target Fashion Scholar” a financial award of $25,000, and the 2012 Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, a limited-edition holiday collection featuring 24 CFDA designers and a $1 million donation made to the CFDA from the retailers.
