The 2026 Local Production Fund Designer Application Is Now Open

June 16, 2026

Emilyn Edillon

The CFDA and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) officially launched the designer application for the Local Production Fund (LPF).

One of the most expansive programs to date for the CFDA, the LPF program supports both fashion brands nationwide and New York City-based factories across all five boroughs.

Fashion brands in two categories are eligible to apply:

  • Designers looking to shift production from overseas or out of state to New York City
  • Designers already producing locally who are introducing a new production category.

The factory application window has also been extended; NYC-based manufacturers across all five boroughs are encouraged to apply.

Both the designer and factory applications close July 10, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET.

The program brief and FAQ will be updated on a rolling basis as additional factories are approved.
