Category B: Fashion brands already producing locally and introducing a new production category
Note: If you want to work with a specific factory through this program, they must apply by via the application below to be considered for the manufacturer list. Please share this info with them and encourage them to apply.

Do brands and manufacturers need to submit separate applications?
Yes. There are two separate application forms: one for brands Apply here and one for manufacturers/factories Apply here.
Can I apply if I haven't identified a manufacturer yet?
Yes. You may apply without identifying a manufacturer at this stage. You can review the current list of participating manufacturers Click here, with additional manufacturers currently in the approval process. We understand that some factories, particularly those new to CFDA, may be hesitant to apply or complete forms. If your brand is selected and pre-approved in September, we can discuss potential manufacturing partners and next steps at that time.
Is the program based on three years or three seasons?
The program is based on three consecutive production seasons, not three years. Participating brands are expected to work with the same manufacturer throughout the three-season commitment and reasonably maintain a similar production volume and product category.
What qualifies as a new product category?
The program intentionally defines “product category” broadly. It may include introducing a type of product your brand has not previously produced or shipped, provided the new category is intended to continue for three consecutive seasons.
What if I want to onshore or move over my entire collection?
The program is not intended to support the transition of an entire collection. Funding is designed to support a specific product category or portion of a category being introduced or produced locally, rather than a brand’s full production operations.
Does my brand need at least $250,000 in annual sales?
Yes. The program is intended for brands with sufficient production volume to support long-term manufacturing partnerships in New York City. Please note that this is expected to be a highly competitive program. If your brand is close to this threshold and feels strongly about local New York City production and participating in this program, please email supplychain@cfda.com for guidance and to discuss your eligibility.
