Sophie Buhai unveils Jewelry Objects, a new publication celebrating her collection of 20 limited-edition works created in collaboration with Galerie Anne-Sophie Duval. The book captures the ongoing creative dialogue between Buhai and the Paris gallery, exploring the intersection of jewelry, sculpture, and collectible design.
Rooted in Buhai’s signature aesthetic, the collection blurs the boundaries between adornment and functional object through exceptional craftsmanship and refined materiality. Art Deco influences are reimagined in sterling silver vases, Tahitian pearl drop necklaces, black urushi lacquer minaudières, and cigarette holders adorned with spessartine garnets.
“I am interested in the gray area between jewelry, object, and sculpture, and reviving a time when everyday objects were sacred, beautiful, and carefully made,” said Buhai.
Following her recognition as a 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner-up, Buhai founded her namesake jewelry brand in 2015, crafting each piece by hand using recycled sterling silver to help minimize environmental impact.
