Lela Rose Fall 2020 Bridal

Lela Rose’s shows are always good social media fodder. From garden parties to merry-go-rounds, the settings are as Instagram-worthy as the clothes themselves. For Fall 2020 Bridal, Rose put on a “flash-ion” show in Greenwich Village’s Jackson Square Park. Models arrived by trolley (a double tap-worthy mode of transportation as ever). And one by one, they took a brisk stroll around the fountain. As quickly as they arrived, they were gone.

Rose was inspired by Lewis Miller (AKA the man behind all of those flower flashes sprouting up around Manhattan). Miller also created the giant heart-shaped wreath that welcomed showgoers on the way in. Naturally, many stopped to capture the perfect photo-op. For every post shared, Rose made a donation to the Art Production Fund, which also oversees the park.

For brides looking for something sleek and sexy, there was a stunning slip dress that recalled Carolyn Bessette’s wedding-day style. For those who want variation, there was an off-the-shoulder lace gown with an oversized bow that extended into a train. It will lend a bit of drama to a bride’s walk down the aisle; unclip the train, and she can hit the dance floor—no “reception dress” required.

Rose also met her brides’ desire for more separates that will move seamlessly from the bridal shower to the rehearsal dinner and maybe beyond the wedding. The fil coupé bubble top and tea-length skirt were way too fun not to wear after the “I dos” are said and done. The pearl-trimmed top and trousers? They’ll continue to serve the bride who spends the other 364 days of the year in pants.
