Gigi Burris O’Hara  created custom bridal hats for Jordyn Woods throughout her wedding weekend, complementing a wardrobe that celebrated American design and craftsmanship.

“We collaborated closely with Jordyn to bring each element of her bridal vision to life,” Burris O’Hara said. “The bespoke process began with a hat for her bridal shower, starting with a transparent woven straw and exploring different veiling, proportions and embellishments. The final piece was crafted to accompany her Tanner Fletcher dress.”

For Woods’ civil ceremony, Burris turned to a more structured silhouette to complement her custom Thom Browne suit.

“We explored several directions before arriving at the final look. The sharp lines of a boater hat, crafted in shiny ivory satin ribbon, felt like the natural counterpart to her tailored suiting,” Burris O’Hara said. “At the fitting, we placed the boater hat on her head and everyone in the room instantly knew it was the perfect finishing touch.”

Across the celebrations, Woods’ choice to champion New York-based designers and locally made fashion brought her connection to the city into focus, with Burris’ craftsmanship adding a distinctly New York point of view to her bridal wardrobe.

“Jordyn exudes a cool confidence that allows her to wear a hat effortlessly, and those are the types of clients we dream of collaborating with,” Burris O’Hara said. “The bridal hat has resurfaced as a key trend, and she was a remarkable example of how it can complete a look in such a distinct way.”
