The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s Americans in Paris returns to Paris Fashion Week from October 3–4, bringing the current ten Fashion Fund finalists to the French capital to present their collections.
Marking the twentieth edition of the showcase, this season’s Americans in Paris will take place at 240 rue de Rivoli, where the designers will present their new collections to editors, buyers, and industry leaders from around the world.
The showcase is supported by Allison Sarofim, Chair of Friends of the CFDA, who is known for her work across the arts, film, fashion, beauty, and philanthropy.
The participating designers are Aisling Camps, Amir Taghi, Terrence Zhou of Bad Binch Tongtong, Emily Dawn Long, Jamie Haller, Julia Ferentinos of Juju Vera, Zane Li of Lii, George Inaki of Milamore, Claire Sullivan of Miss Claire Sullivan, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen.
The Americans in Paris showroom provides invaluable global exposure as well as sales, marketing, and media support to help designers expand their respective businesses.
“The designers introduce their work during New York Fashion Week, and with Americans in Paris we are building on that momentum,” Steven Kolb, CEO and President of the CFDA, said. “As the final stop on the global fashion calendar, Paris brings together editors, buyers and industry leaders from around the world. Bringing our ten CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists there gives them another opportunity to make important connections, build relationships and expand the international reach of their businesses. It’s a natural extension of the visibility and opportunity that begins in New York.”
Nicole Phelps, Global Director of Vogue Runway and Vogue Business, noted, “This year’s finalists are building impressive foundations despite challenging market conditions; they’re more than ready for the global stage that Paris provides. In turn, I think the broader industry has a lot to learn from their collective focus on responsible design, a right-sized brand, and innovative approaches to selling and distribution.”
“Fashion thrives on exchange, and creating opportunities for these emerging designers to meet, share ideas, and evolve with their peers on a global fashion stage is incredibly meaningful and inspiring,” Sarofim said.
The Americans in Paris showroom will kick off with an invite-only cocktail party hosted by Chloe Malle, Allison Sarofim, and more to celebrate the initiative.
