How CFDA Style Ruled the 79th Annual Tony Awards

June 9, 2026

Joshua Jordan

Chiffon, sequins, lace and feathers filled the Tony’s blue carpet, setting the tone for a magical evening at Radio City Music Hall.

The 79th Annual Tony Awards featured looks from many CFDA Members – many of which adhered to a theatrical theme.

Lea Michele arrived in sequined Michael Kors Collection; Queen Latifah wowed in a feathered Naeem Khan ensemble; Christopher Abbott delivered a polished attire in Thom Browne, and Cole Escola worked a campy vibe in a fabulous Christopher John Rogers number. Also notable were John Lithgow in Gabriela Hearst and Kelli O’Hara in a glamorous Bibhu Mohapatra gown.

Always mastering the theatrical, Christian Siriano dressed nine stars: Laurie Metcalf, Rachel Dratch, Shoshana Bean, Hannah Cruz, Sam Pinkerton, Amber Ruffin, Alex Newell, Dylan Mulvaney, and Bronwyn Newport.

Hats off to all!
