How CFDA Members Help Ukraine

The ongoing crisis in Ukraine triggered by the forceful Russian invasion has touched the American fashion industry to the core. Global and wide-ranging sanctions on Russia are bound to significantly impact those brands and businesses with a retail footprint in in the country, but in speaking with CFDA members, the humanitarian aspect of the crisis is paramount. To that end, we were once more reminded of how our industry steps up during times of crisis, and many among our 450-plus members have launched initiatives to help the Ukrainian people.

Here’s a roundup:

Capri/Michael Kors

Capri Holding Holdings Limited is donating more than 1 million euro in essential clothing – ie. coats, sweaters, shoes – from its Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, and Versace brands through the company’s Venlo, Netherlands distribution center.

Veronica Beard

As part of the brand’s first #VBGivesBack day on Thursday, April 10th, designers Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard are hosting an event at their Miami Design District store—where, along with sales from all 16 Veronica Beard stores, 10 percent of sales will go to the International Rescue Committee, which covers the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

Marc Jacobs

The company has joined LVMH and its maisons in donating to the Red Cross Movement’s response to the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis.

Kenneth Cole

The CFDA Member is partnering with United Help Ukraine to support medical aid and humanitarian relief in Ukraine.

They are also working with, Give Back Box to donate gently worn clothing, footwear, and blankets to Ukrainian refugees in Poland, and encouraging donations to Global Giving, Red Cross, Revived Soldiers Ukraine, and UNICEF USA.

Ralph Lauren

Given the urgency of the situation, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has made an immediate donation to @CAREorg, an organization working with partners to provide critical support and aid to Ukrainian families, and is double-matching employee donations to CARE. In addition, it is partnering with its network of international charities to donate essential clothing that will be distributed throughout Ukraine as well as in bordering countries to reach refugees. The company has paused operations in Russia.

Pamela Love

The jewelry company has made a donation to the CARE Ukrainian CrisisFund, and are donating 50 percent of proceeds from the Divine Feminine Collection to the humanitarian crisis in honor of International Women’s Day.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch is supporting World Central Kitchen, which is on the ground in Poland feeding hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees. The company has made a donation, and pledged to match any employee donations throughout the month of March. Learn more and donate here.

Coach

The brand’s parent company’s Tapestry Foundation has made a donation to the United Nations Refugee Agency to provide safety and shelter to those who have been displaced. Please visit here for more information.

Henry Zankov 

On March 6, ZANKOV hosted a one-day sale at Miguel Abreu Gallery for pre-orders from the Fall Winter 2022 ZANKOV Collection in collaboration with SALON. 10 percent of sales are being donated to support marginalized people in Ukraine. The sale also featured a special style from the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, of which 25 percent of proceeds from the purchase will be donated.

Kendra Scott

Through March 6, 50 percent of proceeds from the designer’s Everlyne Bracelets in Yellow and Navy and all Color BarTM styles went directly towards funding relocation and recovery efforts for those on the ground in Ukraine. The company has also made donations to Aerial Recovery Group.

Vanessa Noel 

The company is contributing 50 percent of the sale of every Baby Cashmere Scarf to the United Help Ukraine Organization. Shop here.

Marysia

The designer’s promotion, which donated 100 percent of sales to support displaced Ukrainians, raised over $20,ooo for a refugee charities.

Lauren Harwell Godfrey

The jewelry designer is donating 100 percent of profits from the Malachite Heart to World Central Kitchen, who is currently on the ground at the Ukraine-Poland border to feed the refugees. Shop here.
