Fifteen Percent Pledge Hosts Block Party This Weekend

January 30, 2025

Aldo Araujo

When those Los Angeles wildfires broke out and devastation struck the thousands of businesses, CFDA board member and founder of 15 Percent Pledge (15PP) Aurora James knew she and her team needed to take action. With a block party already underway, instead of canceling it all together, James felt a stronger call to action to make this event an even bigger success. This weekend’s 15th Street Block Party will be a testament to the strength of community.

On Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2 at the Paramount Studios Backlot in Los Angeles, hundreds will gather to discover some incredible Black brands from impacted areas across LA, shop their favorite Black designers, grab a bite from local Black food trucks, score some major finds from 15PP friends & family stoop sales, pick up a next read from a banned Black author, and enjoy the sights and sounds of some incredible Black performers.

CFDA members Rachel Scott of Diotima and Christopher John Rogers will vend alongside other designer friends L’Enchanteur, Bernard James, Danessa Myricks Beauty, and many more.

All proceeds from these ticket sales will go directly to impacted businesses.
