Trust Allison Sarofim to bring out the best crowd in town.
On Tuesday evening, CFDA Chairman Thom Browne and CEO and President Steven Kolb feted Sarofim – the new Chair of Friends of the CFDA – over cocktails at Faena New York and the turnout was as chic as Sarofim is herself.
There were the members of CFDA’s Friends program, including Tara Rudes Dann, Lisa Chambers, Mona Patel, Ezra J. William, Casey Kohlberg, Yao King, Dr. Macrene Alexiades, Lauren Levison, Jenny Wang, Leila Larijani, James Frazier, Michele Faulkner, Raul Penaranda, and Johana Hernandez.
They were joined by Bethann Hardison, Fabiola Beracasa Beckman, Elizabeth Saltzman, Fairfax Dorn, Virginia Lebermann, MaryBeth Shimmon, Lacey Dorn, Carlos Mota, Maria Cornejo, Bruce Hoeksema, Cynthia Rowley, Chassie Post, Sigrid de l’Epine, Cary Leitzes, and Gigi Ganatra Duff.
“Friends involves philanthropy, fashion, creativity, and people who love all of this and support the CFDA serve as ambassadors of the organization and the work that we do,” Kolb said.
“The thing about Allison is her sincerity in wanting to help,” he added. “She does it because she wants to help, she wants to invest, and she wants to make a difference. That’s the only reason she does it. There’s no ego, there’s no expectation back other than the value of really giving. And, she always looks incredible, and we’re so fortunate to have her.”
