Christian Siriano wrote another love letter to the red carpet. After the success of his 2017 book “Christian Siriano: Dresses to Dream About” (Rizzoli) to celebrate a decade in business, the CFDA member is back with a sequel.
Last Thursday at The Mulberry in New York City, friends and family gathered to celebrate “Christian Siriano: The New Red Carpet,” a celebration of the designer’s diversity, inclusion, body positivity and meticulous craftsmanship behind each creation. The book offers untold stories behind some of the most talked about red carpet moments worn by glamorous actors, top models, pop culture legends, LGBTQIA+ icons, and first ladies.
Siriano, recipient of the Time100 honor in 2018 for changing the landscape of fashion on the runway and red carpet, hopes that this will serve as a reminder to the younger generation that there are no rules when it comes to design or preconceived notions about how to dress anyone in your clothes. He’s certainly never followed any.
