Digital Carbon Footprint

Digital carbon footprint refers specifically to the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the use of digital technologies and online services. This ranges from energy consumption used during the digital design process to data processing for e-commerce and virtual garments.

As digital activity grows globally, understanding and managing digital carbon footprints is increasingly important for designers and businesses to reduce their overall environmental impact. Digital tools and platforms, such as Artificial Intelligence, 3D garment rendering, virtual fashion shows, and e-commerce operations, rely heavily on energy-intensive infrastructure such as electricity consumption and digital storage.
