PYRATEX®

Overview

From PYRATEX®

PYRATEX is an R&D company and textile supplier, which develops and supplies their innovative, eco-responsible & quality driven PYRATEX® to other brands through collaborations. They work with a variety of brands, from sportswear to RTW, underwear, and children childrenswear. Established in 2014 and run by Y-generation women, PYRATEX smart fabrics develop and supply its eco-responsible & quality driven PYRATEX® fabrics.

PYRATEX® are luxury knit fabrics produced from either vegetal, upcycled, or biodegradable fibers. These vegetal fibers originate from different plants, giving the fabric its unique body-caring properties. All PYRATEX® are knit in Europe, thus increasing their capacity to control and have full traceability of their production chain and techniques, processing and managing each order from scratch, as well as reducing the distance, and therefore CO2 emissions, between each step.

Their factory in Italy, where they produce PYRATEX®, owns the Tessile e Salute certificate, which deals with eco-toxicology in the Textile and Fashion industries by monitoring and evaluating the various phases of an article’s entire production chain. Their factory also owns the Traceability and Fashion certification, issued by Unioncamere, which grants the client the opportunity to check, per each item bought from them, the origin of the yarn and the creation of the fabric.

The PYRATEX® Range

PYRATEX® health

These two blood circulation improving and muscle relaxing fabrics, a fleece and a jersey knit, are made from a unique vegetal fibre we are currently patenting the textile use of, which brings it properties such as warmth retention and UV protection.

PYRATEX® freshness

Antiperspirant and cooling, these two uniquely soft, comfortable, refreshing fabrics have anti bacterial properties, accompanied by a superior breathability. The bamboo fiber in them is a Oekotex certified cellulose fiber grown in China. Bamboo is 100% biodegradable and can grow as much as 3 feet overnight, making it a fast growing, renewable resource. Because the cross-section of the bamboo fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes, garments made from Bamboo fiber are 1 – 2ºC lower than others, and can rapidly absorb and evaporate sweat.

PYRATEX® power

PYRATEX® power I and PYRATEX® power II, its slightly lighter version, are two breathable fabrics made from recycled tencel fibres, fully biodegradable under soil and marine conditions, which come from wood grown without chemical fertilisers in natural, sustainably managed forests. They adapt to the body’s every shape in a functional, skin caring embrace. Their contour-fitting behaviour, along with their anti bacterial, anti irritation and water absorption properties, make this refreshing fabric specifically ideal for sensitive skins.

PYRATEX® cosmetic

These 5 skin caring fabrics are made from a USDA certified biobased fibre with an anti oxidative capacity which eliminates free radicals. while caring for the wearer’s skin, successfully treating neurological-dermatitis and psoriasis.

PYRATEX® bio

100% biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, thus not compromising their durability, these three fabrics are made from PLA fibers, a biopolymer made from different post-industrial biological waste, mainly corn, but other types of grains as well. PYRATEX® bio I, PYRATEX® bio II and PYRATEX® bio III are good moisture conductants, with 70% less CO2 emissions in manufacturing than polyester.

PYRATEX® upcycled

The PYRATEX® upcycled I fabric is made from GOTS certified organic cotton, blended with upcycled cotton, which originates from textile cotton waste, recycled in a mechanical process, not a chemical one, with no pulp involved: the fibre is, and remains, cotton.
