Orange Fiber

Overview

From Common Objective

Orange off-cuts

Orange Fiber is one such operation. From their base in Italy, the company has patented a process to turn by-products from citrus juice production into a silky, light-weight yarn that can be used alone or blended. Orange Fiber has recently created a capsule collection of garments with the leading Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo.

From Orange Fiber

Orange Fiber fabrics are formed from a silk-like cellulose yarn that can blend with other materials. When used in its purest form, the resulting 100% citrus textile features a soft and silky hand-feel, lightweight, and can be opaque or shiny according to production needs.
