“Hold Me Closer” – the title of the beautiful Zankov collection for fall –  speaks to designer Henry Zankov’s return to New York City a little over a year ago. “What touched me the most,” he said, “was that I felt an immediate embrace…It all felt like a big hug. An embrace full of gusto.”

A recipient of the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Zankov masterfully plays with knits in seductive  ways. These clothes are luscious and functional, from textures to color to silhouettes. There were plenty of fashion touches, from tie details to blanket scarves, knit eveningwear, cardigan dresses, and a chic cocoon scarf coat. The men’s looks – at once slouchy and cozy – were just as charming.

We could all use a good hug, now more than ever. Zankov delivered the sentiment with a shot of desirability.
