“Paris has always been a city that inspires me,” Alejandra Alonso Rojas noted. “I live in New York, but Paris was my home years ago, and I am from Spain, so I am really excited to be showing my collection here.”

Rojas is part of a group of emerging American designers showcasing their new collections as part of Tomorrow’s showroom, which is open from tomorrow through Tuesday, March 3rd.  Also joining in the space at 47 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine are Barragan, Christopher John Rogers, Danielle Frankel, Lou Dallas, Private Policy, and Reese Cooper.

“The USA, in particular New York for the fashion business, has always been a place where any one could land and have the opportunity to grow and develop,” said Julie Gilhart Chief Development Officer and President of Tomorrow Consulting. Hosting this selection of Young Americans in the French capital – “the spiritual home of fashion” –  is “really exciting,” added Gilhart.

Gilhart noted that where New York is a melting pot of cultural references and experiences, “Paris is like the Super Bowl where fashion talent is tested. It is where developing talent from anywhere in the world has the chance to perform on a global platform.”

Reese Cooper, who showed his men’s lineup in Paris last month, is excited to bring women’s to the city. “This program,” he said, “gives me the opportunity to expand the brand and grow globally.”

Private Policy designers Haoran Li and Siying Qu hope to use this opportunity with Tomorrow to talk to buyers “rom around the world about the ways in which our socio-political focused brand brings positive impact to their local communities.”

These talents are ready for the French capital.

“New York,” Gilhart added, “is fast and very demanding. Any designer who shows and has a business here has to have an extreme about of grit! From the glamorous grandeur of Christopher John Rogers to the hand-crafted feel of Lou Dallas to Alejandra Alonso Rojas’d impeccable Spanish colors, these designers are forging a sting individual signature. Also, Barragán references Victor’s Mexican roots and Reese Cooper is always inspired by the outdoors. Private Policy expresses a much more polished streetwear and Danielle Frankel presents wedding-inspired clothing. From many different perspectives, this group of Young Americans is redefining fashion!”
