From texture to volume, maintaining the perfect hairstyle can be a daunting task. Hair guru and Pureology Global Artistic Director Ruth Roche knows this, and she has plenty of beauty tips for her clients.

What is your overall hair philosophy?

Use the right products (Pureology of course)! Wearing a look that’s on trend is great, but make sure it works with your face shape and hair texture. A little bit of attention to styling goes a long way, because even the most natural of looks need a little love. Keep your individuality and infuse your look with current trends that feel good to you!

What are some of the key trends in hair at the moment?

Volume a la 80s & 90s and the ‘wet’ look. Bobs, bangs, or bobs with bangs! Short and medium bobs and lobs with and without fringe, worn both with natural texture and smooth or straight.

What looks can we anticipate at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards?
