Alexander Wang started the trend. In 2014, the designer crossed the proverbial Rubicon (as in the East River) when he chose Duggal Greenhouse at Brooklyn Navy Yard as the show venue. In the process, he became the first designer of note to show in the borough. Here and there, there have been a few shows in Brooklyn, but no critical mass to speak of – until now.
