Viktor&Rolf Mariage Fall 2020 Bridal

Winter in the Netherlands is veryyyy cold. And for their latest outing, Dutch designer duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren drove that point home with a Fall 2020 Bridal collection inspired by snow and ice. A sparkly tweed gown had a frosted effect courtesy of elongated beads that hung like icicles. Silver pearls traced a cocktail dress with enough geometric precision to rival that of a snowflake pattern. And you might get a chill just looking at the thick embellished trims – ornamentation that Horsting and Snoeren fittingly referred to as “crystal fur.”

Of course, flowers are at the root of every Viktor&Rolf collection, regardless of season, and winter gardens informed the many-petaled looks present here. Several styles were crawling with wisteria, sprouting up on a gown with an illusion neckline and floating along a mock-neck minidress with a godet skirt. A draped satin ballgown had a giant rosette folded at the hip, while the same 3-D blossoms topped an A-line party frock. Together, they’d make an ideal ceremony-to-reception quick change for any winter wedding, from Aspen to Amsterdam.
