U.S. Fashion Industry Sends Letter on Stimulus Needs to Congressional Leaders

Today, the CFDA, the Accessories Council, the Apparel & Footwear Organization (AAFA) and the Travel Goods Association sent a letter to congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, Kevin McCarthy, and Mitch McConnell to outlines the American fashion industry’s stimulus needs.

The letter outlines five provisions to keep the country open and Americans working:

  • Trade Credit Insurance
  • Legal Liability Protection
  • Return to Work Incentives
  • Healthy Workplaces Tax Credit
  • Duty Drawback for Charitable Donations

It was signed by CFDA CEO Steven Kolb, Accessories Council President and CEO Karen Giberson, AAFA President and CEO Steve Lamar, and  Travel Goods Association President and CEO Michele Marini Pittenger.
