Just in time for February’s Super Bowl XL, 50 CFDA designers — Billy Reid, Nicole Miller, Jennifer Meyer, and Rachel Zoe among them — worked their magic to create bespoke designer footballs which were auctioned off to support the NFL Foundation.

Those bidding, and betting on the actual game, included Gayle King, Dascha Polanco, and Marcus Wainwright. Betsey Johnson said she was rooting for the “the Gisele and Tom team.” The designer, a former cheerleader, admitted, “I have to go for the good-looking guy or the ones with the great hair.” She didn’t get lucky this time. But Peyton Manning did: the Denver Broncos won.
