Americana is a theme that Tommy Hilfiger is well-versed in. The designer returned to the Official New York Fashion Week Schedule with a major statement at Grand Central Station and a show staged at the Grand Central Oyster Club. Guests made their way through crowds of fans waiting to see their favorite stars, including Sofia Richie Grainge (along with her husband, Elliott), Sylvester Stallone, Damson Idris, Becky G, Kelly Rutherford, and K-pop star Nayeon. Hilfiger delivered classic American sportswear styles that were redefined in youthful, hip styles. Rugby shirts, blazers, chinos, and varsity jackets came down the runway as models made their way through the restaurant. Corduroy suits in sharply tailored three-pieces and herringbone print and earth-tones were a highlight from the collection. For the finale, artist Jon Batiste emerged for a rendition of “Freedom,” pulling Vogue editor Chloe Malle from the audience for a dance. The audience loved it and how could they not? It was a fabulous New York moment.
