Tiffany & Co. & CFDA Launch Second Jewelry Designer Award, Introduce New Scholar Award

May 11, 2026

Tiffany & Co. and CFDA kicked off the second cycle of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award, a program dedicated to elevating the next generation of American jewelry designers.

Building on the momentum of its inaugural year, the 2026–2027 cycle also introduces the Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Design Scholar Award, a dedicated $25,000 scholarship and summer internship for an early-career jewelry design student.

Rooted in Tiffany & Co.’s enduring legacy of exceptional craft and the CFDA’s commitment to nurturing American design talent, the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award provides finalists with funding to produce a 3–5-piece collection, supported by creative mentorship and a multi-week learning experience centered on craft and material exploration.

Finalists will receive one-on-one mentorship with Tiffany & Co.’s Design team and will present their collections to the selection committee, culminating at an award ceremony at The Landmark, Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue flagship. One recipient will be awarded a $50,000 grant and a one-year fellowship on the Tiffany Design team.

In a celebrated milestone for the program, Jameel Mohammed—the inaugural recipient of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award and a fellow of the Tiffany Design team since April 2025—will serve as a member of the Selection Committee for cycle two. His participation underscores the program’s commitment to community and mentorship.

The 2026-2027 Selection Committee also includes:

Rajni Jacques, Fashion Creative Director & Global Brand Strategist

Nathalie Verdeille, Senior Vice President, Chief Artistic Officer at Tiffany & Co.

Gabrielle Union, Actress, Producer & Best Selling Author

Bethann Hardison, CFDA Board Member & Advocate

Frank Everett, Vice Chairman, Jewelry, Sotheby’s

“We are excited to announce the second cycle of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award, underscoring the House’s longstanding commitment to creativity, craft and championing the next generation of emerging talent,” Tiffany & Co.’s Senior Vice President and Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille said.

“The Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award marks a meaningful expansion of what this program represents — not just for emerging designers, but for students at the very start of their creative journey,” CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb said. “At the CFDA, we believe that creativity is the driving force behind American fashion, and this award is a testament to that shared belief.”

The newly introduced Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Design Scholar Award deepens the partnership’s investment in the full arc of a designer’s career. For nearly three decades, the CFDA identified talent early, opening doors and building the kind of community that sustains a creative life.

The scholarship, established in partnership with the CFDA Scholarship Fund, extends that same generative spirit into the world of jewelry, providing one student with $25,000 and a summer internship in the Tiffany Design department.

Together, the Award and scholarship honor the creative present while laying the groundwork for the future.

The application process for the 2026 Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award program launches on May 11, 2026, and closes on June 1, 2026.

Participants will be announced in the fall, and the award recipient will be announced in early 2027.
