This year brought no shortage of major fashion moments. From red carpets to runways, designers and celebrities delivered memorable fashion statements ripe for fashion history books. The Internet was ablaze with countless impeccable Beyonce as she embarked on her sold out Renaissance tour, while Margot Robbie’s pink press tour looks for Barbie created a frenzy for pink.

As the year comes to a close, take a look at some of our favorite moments.

1) KidSuper’s Collection for Louis Vuitton

The French luxury house tapped designer Colm Dillane to be the house’s first – and, to date, only – designer to co-design the menswear collection with a star-studded  Fall-Winter 2023 runway show.

2) Gwyneth Paltrow’s Courtroom Style

While on trial in Utah for an accident at a ski resort in 2016, the Goop founder and 2023 CFDA Award winner made headlines for her elevated courtroom style. The Oscar-winning actress and entrepreneur’s head-to-toe looks from The Row served as major style inspiration this year.

3) Peter Do’s Helmut Lang Debut

The designer behind his namesake label presented his first collection for the brand during New York Fashion Week to much fanfare.

4) Daniel Roseberry’s Lifelike Lion Head Dress

The CFDA member caused much controversy when he sent faux animal creations down the runway for his first Schiaparelli couture collection. Inspired by Dante’s Inferno, his lion head dress was worn on the runway by Irina Shayk and Kylie Jenner from the front row.

5) Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour Wardrobe

The artist and past CFDA Fashion Icon collaborated with stylist Shiona Turini to create a countless number of custom looks from Telfar, Vera Wang, Thom Browne, and more. Stylists Julia Sarr-Jamois, KJ Moody, and Karen Langley also served as stylists on the world tour.

6) Taylor Swift Wears Custom Oscar de la Renta for Eras Tour

Now the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, the singer worked with stylist Joseph Cassell and Oscar de la Renta to create a number of sparkly custom looks worthy of the historic occasion.

7) Rihanna Reveals Pregnancy at Super Bowl in Loewe

Returning to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime performance, Rihanna worked with 2023 CFDA International Designer of the Year Jonathan Anderson to create a custom look for the show. The occasion also revealed her second pregnancy to the world.

8) Kim Kardashian’s Custom Chrome Hearts to CFDA Awards

To attend the biggest night in American Fashion, the celebrity wore a hand-patched leather skirt and backless-halter top designed and created custom by Laurie Lynn Stark.

9) Margot Robbie’s Barbie Press Tour

Barbie’s influence was everywhere you looked since the actress and producer, who spearheaded the project, turned a number of perfect pink looks while on her press tour to promote the movie. Robbie collaborated with stylist Andrew Mukamal to bring her wardrobe to life.

10) Christian Siriano Creates Gown for Oprah’s Portrait in Smithsonian Gallery

The media mogul selected the designer and CFDA member to the custom purple taffeta wrap gown worn in her official portrait commissioned by the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery.
