After seven years at Alice Tully Hall, the CFDA Fashion Awards, in collaboration with Swarovski for the 15th year, are on the move. Set for June 6, they will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the grand midtown venue that was once home to an opera house. The new location will also come with a new format: a seated dinner and show. “We were able to elevate the awards significantly with the great stage at Alice Tully Hall,” said Steven Kolb, president and chief executive officer at the CFDA. “Over the years, people have asked us for a more social evening with dinner — The Hammerstein provides us with just that while also giving us a great stage.” The nominees and honorees for the big night will be unveiled on March 16.
