Last Friday, the eyewear designers of the CFDA (edCFDA) came together to celebrate Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) and the retailers that have helped support the initiative at Selima Optique Soho.

It was a perfect evening: champagne was poured, food was enjoyed, and money was raised to support FTBC. CFDA members in attendance included Sang A Im-Propp, Monica Sordo, Virginie Promeyrat, and Isa Tapia.

“I especially enjoyed that we accomplished to bring together an eclectic group of guests including CFDA members, artists, designers, influencers, members of the press and optical retailers from all over America to celebrate edCFDA and the optical community’s efforts to support this cause,” said eyewear designer and CFDA Member Christian Roth. “Being a member of the CFDA for such a long time, I support their charitable efforts.  FTBC’s cause touches so many—it is very close to my heart.”

The night joyously ended the first day of Vision Expo East, the eyewear trade show in New York City where designers gather to showcase their new collections.

Salaun, the evening’s host, said, “Having such a successful turnout with people from all fields and also the support of the CFDA team was one of the greatest parts of the night. I love the way FTBC supports the fight against breast cancer by helping women in need on the basics, such as screening, preventing, diagnosing and treating breast cancer. These women need our voices and support and I’m proud to be a part of this amazing imitative.”

The eyewear designers continuously show their support to FTBC through the sales of limited edition frames whose proceeds go back to the important cause and can be found at select retailers.
