Ever wondered what it’s really like to be a finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund? Now fashion fans and designers alike can find out.
Launching exclusively on @CFDA’s IGTV channel today, you can take an inside look at American fashion’s most prestigious design competition.
Over the course of several grueling months, the 10 finalists in this year’s Fashion Fund class are tasked to take on challenging assignments that demonstrate their design ability and business acumen. From presenting their collections during New York Fashion Week to designing a custom look from sustainable Zara fabrics, the pressure is high – and the judging is fierce, from Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Instagram’s Eva Chen to CFDA CEO & President Steven Kolb and new additions Chioma Nnadi and Paloma Elsesser. With $400,000 on the line, you didn’t think it would be an easy contest!
Over the course of the next week, follow along as we get to know the 2019 finalists Abdul Abasi and Greg Rosborough of Abasi Rosborough, Alejandra Alonso Rojas; Victor Barragan of Barragán, Christopher John Rogers, Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada, Danielle Hirsch of Danielle Frankel, Raffaella Hanley of Lou Dallas, Siying Qu and Haoran Li of Private Policy, Reese Cooper, and Natalie Ratabesi of Tre by Natalie Ratabesi.
And stay tuned as we announce the winner and runners-up live on Instagram this Monday, November 4th!
