The Official NYFW: Women’s Schedule

The New York Fashion Week: Women’s schedule is final, and this season, look out for several changes and additions!

Tom Ford is holding an intimate presentation in New York on Sept. 7, and Thakoon returning to NYFW: Women’s with a show on Sept.8. Also new to the Official Schedule is the Sies Marjan label, as well as Akris, the St. Gallen, Switzerland brand which is moving its show from Paris to New York for this season only.

While Diane von Furstenberg will be holding appointments on Sept.10 and Sept.11. Oscar de la Renta is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 12.

There are also several new evening shows. Tommy Hilfiger is showing on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7 pm; DKNY is holding its show on Monday, Sept.12 at 9pm, and Ralph Lauren is taking is doing two shows on the evening of Wednesday, Sept.14.

Since CFDA acquired the Fashion Calendar in 2014, it has put in place a formal application process for designer inclusion on the Official Schedule, the result of which can be seen in the schedule. In September 2014, it listed 394 shows and presentations; last year, there were 192 designers approved on the Official Schedule, and this year’s schedule features 151 shows and presentations.

For the NYFW finale, Marc Jacobs has moved his show to 2pm – which gives everyone ample time to catch their flight to London, the next stop on the fashion week circuit.
