Tim Coppens may call New York his home, but when it comes to his holiday preferences, he remains loyal to the traditions of his native Belgium. Coppens is part of The CFDA Loves the Holidays shop at Fred Segal on Sunset, and we checked in with him about the holidays.

Why did you agree to participate in the CFDA Loves the Holidays shop?
It’s an excellent opportunity for us to have more exposure in LA. And I liked that the selection we have in the shop are key pieces from last year’s fall collection we showed at Pitti in Florence.

What do you love about the holiday season the most?
I like that everything slows down.

What’s your favorite holiday treat or dish?
Anything traditionally Belgian.
