Deborah Marquit’s couture lingerie culls inspiration from art, architecture, and graphic design – and in doing so is a perfect holiday gift. We checked in with Marquit, who is part of The CFDA Loves The Holidays shop at the new Fred Segal on Sunset Boulevard, about her love for the season. 

Why did you agree to participate in the CFDA Loves the Holidays shop?

I love the concept of offering CFDA members’ designs exclusively and directly to the public to touch, feel, and shop collections in a curated way, which is a rare experience for both the designer and the consumer.

What do you love about the holiday season the most?

I love the celebratory vibe in New York. You can feel it in the streets.

What’s your favorite holiday treat or dish?

I’m Jewish, and mostly vegan, but cannot resist my best friend’s home-baked Christmas Cookies.
