CFDA Loves Fred Segal and LA. In celebration of the Fred Segal Loves CFDA concept shop launch at the iconic retailer’s new 8500 Sunset Boulevard location, we are checking in with the designers in our favorite shop-in-shop, starting with Nanette Lepore.

Nanette, why did you agree to participate in the CFDA Loves LA shop?

Fred Segal embodies LA’s take on casual glamour, from its curated clothing mix and fun people watching to its classic logo and ivy-covered walls. When the opportunity came up to be part of the CFDA shop within the new Fred Segal, I jumped at the chance.

What do you love about LA the most?

The people with their laissez-faire vibe and effortless glamour.

What is the one must-have item of yours available in the shop?

My gold lame pajamas are a must-have. They are chic, relaxed and perfect when paired back to jeans or a bikini to keep them casual.

If you plan to buy an item from one of the other participating designers, what is it?
