Raised in Brooklyn, Shimon and Ariel Ovadia have soaked in the borough’s hip hop, graffiti, art and street culture scene and launched Ovadia & Sons with look that is distinctly New York. The twin brothers have brought that cool aesthetic to the CFDA Loves LA shop-in-shop at the new Fred Segal. It serves as a perfect excuse for us to check in with them about all things West Coast.

Why did you agree to participate in the CFDA Loves LA shop?

The new Fred Segal looks really cool and with the CFDA having a shop in there, it felt like a great fit for Ovadia.

What do you love about LA the most?

The laid back vibe, the sun and palm trees. We could use some of that here in New York.

What is the one must-have item of yours available in the shop?

The Betar track pant. It’s become a quick favorite and we’ve both been wearing them a lot.
