The show goes on! The 2020 CFDA Fashion Awards were originally scheduled to be an in-person event in June, but the annual ceremony was indefinitely rescheduled because of the pandemic. However, we wouldn’t let that stop us from celebrating the best talents in fashion – and given the situation, we decided to pivot to digital. Streamed on CFDA’s new digital platform RUNWAY360, audience members across the globe watched from home as CFDA Chairman Tom Ford announced the winners. Kim Jones of Dior and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino took home the top prize for the first-ever International Awards, while victories for Kerby Jean-Raymond for Pyer Moss, Telfar Clemens for Telfar, Gabriela Hearst, and Christopher John Rogers made for the most diverse group of award winners in the event’s history. It was truly a year to remember. Bravo to all Trova recipients!
